Although the Mustang Ecoboost is equipped only with an automatic transmission and a four-cylinder engine, the RTR package makes it more attractive to performance car enthusiasts. The anti-lag system, borrowed from Ford GT racing models, provides instant turbo response, improving acceleration dynamics.

Thanks to lower weight and better weight distribution compared to V8 versions, the Mustang RTR received numerous chassis upgrades. Among them are Brembo brakes from the GT, recalibrated MagneRide dampers, and modified steering for greater turning angle.
