New Gas-Powered Dodge Muscle Car Returns with a True Exhaust Roar

New Dodge Charger Sixpack Appears in Commercial Shoot

A new 2026 Dodge Charger Sixpack model was spotted during a commercial shoot in Detroit. This gasoline version is set to become an alternative to the electric model, which failed to gain popularity among the brand’s fans. Despite significant discounts, only 4,299 electric vehicles were sold in the first half of the year.

The new version is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder Hurricane engine, producing 420 hp in the base version and 550 hp in the more powerful variant. Video from the shoot shows a bright red coupe accelerating and performing a controlled drift on one of Detroit’s streets.

Despite an almost identical exterior to the electric model, the Charger Sixpack has a real exhaust system instead of simulated sound.

The gasoline version is expected to be cheaper than the electric one, which starts at $59,595. However, exact prices and a release date have not yet been announced. The manufacturer plans to present the model in the second half of this year.

The popularity of traditional engines among Dodge fans remains high, which may explain the low sales of the electric version. The new gasoline model will likely attempt to win back former brand customers who are not ready to switch to electric vehicles. This is especially true for those who value the characteristic V8 sound, which, unfortunately, even the best inline six-cylinder engine cannot fully replace.
