This model became popular in the brand’s lineup and in 2024 ranked fifth in sales in the USA. Despite a 12.5% sales growth, the crossover is already outdated, as it was introduced back in 2018.
BMW is preparing an update – the first test shots of the new second-generation X7 have been taken. In the photos taken in Europe, it is visible that the car retained an evolutionary design, different from the Neue Klasse. This is unexpected, since other new products from the brand have already received a retrofuturistic style.
The previous appearance of the model remained similar: a traditionally shaped radiator grille, split LED headlights, and an updated front bumper with a wide lower grille.
In the side view, smoother body lines, new BMW-style door handles, and a raised window line are noticeable. The car received large wheels and a powerful braking system with blue calipers at the front.
SHProshots
The rear is well camouflaged, but the license plate is now placed on the bumper, not on the tailgate. An exhaust system with four pipes and a longer spoiler are also visible.
Details about the model are still unknown, but it is expected to be built on the CLAR-WE platform. The engine lineup will include gasoline, diesel, and a fully electric iX7 version, which will become a competitor to the Mercedes EQG.
