The new Audi electric car turned out to be a rebadged Porsche Taycan

The Audi e-tron GT electric car has been officially unveiled. Orders are already being accepted for the sedan, with prices starting at 99,800 euros.

The new Audi e-tron GT is built on the same platform as the Porsche Taycan and uses many of its units. In terms of size, it is comparable to its sibling – 4.99 m in length with a wheelbase of 2.9 m.

Although, from the outside, the relatedness of the two models is not noticeable. The electric car looks more like the new Audi A7 – it has an arched roof, flared wings, and characteristic lights across the entire width of the body.

And in the cabin, the typical Audi style is evident – the electric car is defined by the graphics of the virtual cockpit. However, they have abandoned the dual touchscreens like those in the A7. The car has two trunks – a rear 405-liter and a front 85-liter one.

All Audi e-tron GTs are all-wheel drive with two motors and a 2-speed gearbox (like that of the Taycan). The base version has a power output of 476 hp but briefly in Overboost mode has 530 hp available. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, with a top speed of 245 km/h.

In the RS version, the power is 598 hp (and 646 hp in Overboost). It accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reaches a speed of 250 km/h.

Both versions come with an 86 kWh battery. The range is 488 km in the base e-tron GT and 472 km in the RS. The more powerful sedan features air suspension and adaptive dampers, with options including an all-wheel steering chassis and ceramic brakes.
