New Electric Mercedes C-Class: What is Known
Mercedes-Benz is preparing to launch a fully electric version of the C-Class, which will debut next year. The car will be built on the new MB.EA platform, which will allow the use of advanced technologies such as an 800-volt architecture and fast charging over 320 kW. The design of the model is gradually being revealed: a closed radiator grille, stylish LED headlights, and streamlined body shapes.
The rear of the car features an elegant design with an integrated spoiler and LED taillights, reminiscent of the CLA style. The interior is likely to inherit high-tech solutions from other models of the brand, including large screens and minimalist design. Among the expected functions are a heat pump, an improved braking system, and state-of-the-art batteries.
Mercedes has been tight-lipped about the car, but it rides on the new MB.EA platform and will likely have a lot in common with the upcoming GLC EV.
The electric C-Class may offer both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, as well as innovative solutions for increased efficiency.
