The New Electric Mercedes GLC with a 39.1-Inch Hyperscreen is a Luxurious Limousine Among Tablets

First Look at the Interior of the Electric Mercedes GLC

Mercedes has finally revealed official images of the interior of the new electric version of the GLC. The most impressive detail is the massive display system that stretches across the entire width of the cabin.

Record-Breaking Display and Technologies

Mercedes had already showcased the bold exterior features of the new electric GLC, including the retro-futuristic light grille. Now it’s time to get acquainted with the most impressive detail of the interior—the new-generation MBUX Hyperscreen display, which spans the entire width of the car.

At first glance, the new shape of the instrument panel resembles the one installed in the electric CLA sedan presented in March. However, in the GLC, the display is truly a single unit, not a combination of several screens like in previous models.

Innovations in Equipment

The 39.1-inch display is the largest among Mercedes production cars. The high level of resolution and 1000 LEDs ensure exceptional image quality. The system also has an intelligent zone dimming function, which helps reduce driver distraction while driving.

In the upper part of the center console, there are two wireless charging stations for smartphones, separated by central air vents. Directly below them are physical buttons and a volume knob, duplicated on the right side of the steering wheel.

Functional Lighting

Although ambient lighting is no longer a novelty, in the GLC it not only changes according to the selected mood but also signals changes in the system. For example, when adjusting the climate control temperature, the lighting changes color to confirm the action.

The full debut of the GLC model with EQ technology will take place at the IAA Mobility 2025 show in Munich on September 7. The first version to go on sale will be the GLC 400 4Matic with EQ technology. Thanks to a charging capability of over 320 kW, the car can gain about 260 km (162 miles) of range in just 10 minutes.

This model demonstrates how Mercedes combines elegance with cutting-edge technology, emphasizing convenience and efficiency. The ability to charge quickly makes it particularly attractive to those who value time and comfort.
