New Ford Bronco 2021 challenged Jeep Wrangler and Land Rover Defender

The revived Ford Bronco has finally been unveiled in the USA. The famous off-roader has returned after a 25-year absence from the market. The presentation took place online, and the car is already available for order at a price starting from $30,000. Additionally, it has a younger brother, the Ford Bronco Sport.

Ford Bronco 2021 Design

The appearance of the Ford Bronco harkens back to the 60s. The angular design with round headlights is maintained in the style of the first Ford Bronco of 1965.

The new Ford Bronco is built on the Ranger pickup truck’s body-on-frame platform. For the first time, alongside the three-door version, a five-door version also appeared. The roof and doors of the car can be removed.

The interior also shows features of the old Ford Bronco from the 60s. At the same time, a large 12-inch touchscreen is installed, and there are 360-degree cameras.
A complete set of brand accessories is offered for the Ford Bronco right from the start – from branded bottles and a cooler bag to a roof rack.
 

Ford Bronco 2021 Specifications

The new Ford Bronco is equipped with a 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-four (270 hp) and a 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 with 310 hp. You can choose between a 7-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission.
All-wheel drive with a low-range transfer case is mandatory, and differential locks are offered for an additional cost.

There are seven transmission modes for different types of road surfaces. Disengageable stabilizers and the Trail Control system – an off-road cruise control – are also available. The Ford Bronco’s ground clearance is 295 mm and it can ford up to 85 cm of water. 

New Ford Bronco Sport 2021

Ford Bronco Sport is very similar to the standard Bronco in design, but it is a completely different vehicle. It is a crossover, it has no frame, and it is built on the new Ford Kuga 2020 platform. The crossover is equipped with turbocharged engines of 1.5 liters (184 hp) and 2.0 liters (245 hp) and an 8-speed automatic transmission.

It has an all-wheel-drive system with a clutch, but also has driving modes and Trail Control. Ground clearance is 224 mm.
