Koenigsegg Introduces the New Version of Jesko – Sadair’s Spear

The Swedish supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg has introduced an updated version of the Jesko model – Sadair’s Spear. This is a track modification that, however, has retained the possibility of use on public roads. The car received a reinforced engine, a lightweight construction, and refined aerodynamics.

Production is limited to 30 units, and all of them have already found their owners. According to the company’s founder, Christian von Koenigsegg, this model was created to set records. At the Gotland Ring test track in Sweden, Sadair’s Spear showed a result 1.1 seconds better than the standard Jesko Attack.

Technical Updates

The twin-turbo V8 engine received a new tune and an improved cooling system. Its power is now 1300 hp on regular gasoline and 1625 hp on E85 fuel. The car’s weight was reduced by 35 kg, allowing it to achieve a power-to-weight ratio better than that of the legendary Koenigsegg One:1.

Aerodynamics were also improved thanks to a new active double-decker rear wing, updated air intakes, and other refinements. The wheel rims are made of carbon fiber using the patented Aircore technology, and the tires have become wider for improved traction.

“Sadair’s Spear is a natural progression for Koenigsegg. The perfect balance of power, aerodynamics, and road presence. This car is built for records,” stated Christian von Koenigsegg.

The model’s name is a tribute to the favorite racehorse of the founder’s father, Jesko von Koenigsegg. It is his name that the base version Jesko received. Despite its track orientation, Sadair’s Spear retained amenities such as wireless charging and a parking assistance system.

This model continues the Koenigsegg tradition of creating cars that combine extreme technical characteristics with the possibility of everyday use. Despite the limited series, Sadair’s Spear will undoubtedly influence the further development of hypercars, demonstrating how far one can go in combining track technologies and road suitability.
