by In China, the new Foton Da Jiang Jun was presented. The pickup, whose name translates as “big general,” was copied from the Ford F-150 Raptor.
The resemblance to the Ford F-150 is most noticeable at the front. The headlights, grille, and even the Foton lettering are all copied from the American vehicle.
However, in terms of size, the Chinese pickup is smaller and comparable to the Ford Ranger. And in terms of power, it cannot compare with the Raptor. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter 238-horsepower turbo engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Later, there will also be 2.0 and 2.5-liter turbodiesels available.
Sales of the Foton Da Jiang Jun will start at the end of this year.
