Audi Q3 Model Line Update
Audi has introduced a new version of the compact Q3 crossover in the Sportback body, thereby completing the update of the third-generation lineup. This model features sleeker roof contours and a stylish design reminiscent of a coupe.
The Q3 Sportback shares common features with the regular Q3 but has received a redesigned roofline and a rear window that slopes down smoothly. Designers have also removed the roof rails for a more sporty appearance.
Sporty Design and Interior
Full-width rear lights with optional OLED graphics and a sporty bumper with stylized air intakes and a diffuser are inherited from the standard version. The coupe-crossover is 29 mm shorter than the regular Q3.
The interior retains the same panel, which includes an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch multimedia screen. However, the lower roofline at the rear has slightly reduced space for passengers and luggage.
The maximum luggage compartment volume of the Q3 Sportback with the rear seats folded down is 1,298 liters, which is 97 liters less than that of the standard Q3.
Wide Range of Powertrains
Both models are offered with the same engines: gasoline, diesel, mild-hybrid, and plug-in hybrid variants. The base 1.5-liter TFSI produces 148 hp, while the top 2.0 TFSI produces up to 262 hp.
The hybrid version (e-Hybrid) develops 268 hp and is equipped with a 25.7 kWh battery. The electric range is up to 118 km according to the WLTP standard.
Availability and Pricing
Audi has not yet confirmed the launch of the new Q3 in North America, but it is expected to appear there for the 2026 model year. In Europe, orders are already open, with first deliveries scheduled for October for the Q3 and November for the Q3 Sportback.
In Germany, the base price for the Q3 starts from 44,600 euros, while the Q3 Sportback costs from 46,450 euros. Hybrid versions start from 49,300 euros and 51,150 euros respectively.
Although the previous generation Q3 Sportback never made it to the American market, the new model could be an exception thanks to its updated design and technologies. The manufacturer also emphasizes improved safety systems and the option to choose between standard and sport suspension.
