by One of the most interesting automotive novelties of the CES 2022 show in Las Vegas was the BMW iX Flow concept car. The BMW electric crossover is capable of changing the color of its body.
The demonstrated BMW iX electric car changes color from white to black and vice versa in a matter of seconds. The secret lies in a special film on the body: it is complemented by electronic ink (e-ink) technology, as in e-books. The film is divided into triangular cells that can be filled with black pigment.
The developers claim that the new invention also allows for the creation of various images on the body. By the way, this is not the first car with a changing color, although a slightly different technology was used earlier.
