In South Korea, the new Genesis GV70 was presented. This is the most affordable crossover from Hyundai’s premium brand – it will go on sale at the beginning of 2021 at a price of about $40,000. Its competitors are named as Audi Q5, Lexus NX, and BMW X3.
The design of the Genesis GV70 turned out to be quite bright – with a long hood and a sloping roof. And the face is expressive – with a huge radiator grille and thin LED headlights.
In the interior, the bulging surfaces take us back to the 50s. However, the new Genesis GV70 also received a virtual instrument cluster, a large 14.5-inch touchscreen, and touch climate buttons.
In addition, the car is available with a fingerprint scanner (it helps recognize the owner), adaptive cruise control, a semi-autonomous driving system, and active suspension that finds potholes in the road by itself. The crossover also signals forgotten passengers in the back seat.
The Genesis GV70 will receive gasoline turbo engines of 2.5 liters (300 hp) and 3.5 liters (380 hp), as well as a 2.2-liter 210 hp turbodiesel.
All versions are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the drive can be rear-wheel or all-wheel.
