New Leader Among BMW Coupes Not Created by BMW Company

Bovensiepen Presents Powerful GT Project in Collaboration with Zagato

Bovensiepen decided to improve the already successful BMW M4 by adding power and completely changing its design through a collaboration with the Italian atelier Zagato. The new Bovensiepen Zagato GT was first presented at Villa d’Este in May, and last weekend it debuted at the event in Goodwood.

Although Zagato is a well-known brand, Bovensiepen is a new player in the tuning world. However, the family behind this company has extensive experience in building cars – they founded the legendary Alpina atelier, which specialized in BMW. After selling Alpina to the BMW Group in 2022, they launched a new project, and logically, it is again based on a BMW.

Updated Design and Technical Changes

The design of the standard BMW M4 is controversial, but the Bovensiepen Zagato GT looks much more refined. The car received new headlights, smoother body lines, and a more elegant grille. The rear was also redesigned – the trunk lid, bumper, and panels were changed.

“During the climb up the Goodwood hill, the front looks just amazing. The rear is also impressive, especially thanks to the new body elements”

The BMW M4 engine with a base 480 hp was modified to 611 hp, which even exceeds the figures of the M4 CSL version. Additionally, a titanium Akrapovic exhaust system was installed, although during the demonstration its sound was not fully revealed due to low RPM.

The price and number of units have not been announced yet, but considering the custom body, increased power, and premium interior, the cost will be significantly higher than a regular M4 Competition.

This project demonstrates how an existing model can be reimagined by combining power with unique design. Bovensiepen, with its Alpina experience, has taken a step into the world of exclusive cars, and this collaboration with Zagato could be the start of a new series of limited editions.
