Ford Mustang Gets Retro Style with FX Package
The Ford Mustang has always been a symbol of its era, and now the company has decided to bring back the spirit of the 80s and 90s. The new FX package for the S650 model is a true journey into the past, featuring white accents, retro emblems, and an interior inspired by the classics.
The new Adriatic Blue paint particularly stands out, reminiscent of the iconic Fox Body Mustang shades. Furthermore, the interior features houndstooth fabric, white details, and special fonts that copy the style of 1987–1993.
Design and Interior Details
Externally, the FX package is distinguished by white 19-inch wheels, emblems, and surrounding elements of the rear lights. In versions with the Performance Package, white inserts on the grille are added. The rear window features the “MUSTANG” inscription in Fox Body style.
The interior received even more retro elements: seats with houndstooth fabric, contrast stitching, and white accents. Even the digital instrument cluster can transform into a replica of classic analog dials with green backlighting in the dark.
Price and Availability
The exact price of the FX package has not been announced yet, but it will be available only for the GT Premium with the 480 hp V8 engine (or 486 hp with the active exhaust system). Buyers will be able to choose between a manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic.
Previous experience shows that such special versions often become collectibles, especially if they successfully combine modern technology with nostalgic design. Given the decline in Mustang sales in 2024, Ford may be hoping to attract new buyers precisely through such limited series.
