Official photos of the new generation Opel Corsa have been presented. Sales of the model will start at the end of the year.
The new 2020 Opel Corsa was created under the guidance of the PSA Group, and as a result, it shares a platform with the Peugeot 208. The hatchback has grown to 4.06 m in length but is 48 mm lower. The design is in the style of the Opel Crossland X and Grandland X.
The interior now features a virtual dashboard (in more expensive versions) and a curved gear lever, similar to Peugeot and Citroen. The central touchscreen can be as large as 10 inches in diagonal. The 2020 Opel Corsa is more spacious inside, with a trunk volume that has increased to 309 liters.
The list of options has been expanded to include matrix LED headlights, road sign recognition systems, and semi-autonomous driving. Interestingly, the first debut was the electric Opel e-Corsa.
It is equipped with a 136-horsepower motor and a 50 kWh battery. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 8.1 seconds, and the range is about 330 km. You can charge the Opel electric car to 80% in half an hour.
Later, versions with 1.2-liter gasoline engines ranging from 75 to 130 hp and a 1.5-liter 100-horsepower diesel will also appear.
