New Porsche 911 GT2 RS: Power and Design
A prototype of the new Porsche 911 GT2 RS was spotted at the Nürburgring. This model promises to be even more powerful and aggressive than its predecessor, the GT3 RS. The car features a significantly wider track, extended wings and arches, as well as a hybrid turbocharged powertrain.
Rumors suggest the new model will have an engine with over 700 hp, which is 200 hp more than the GT3 RS. This model is expected to deliver impressive track performance, as even the GT3 RS is among the top five fastest cars at the Nürburgring.
“The mods give a strange look because the prototype seems to be running a stock GT3 RS track width, meaning the wheels look lost on the arches.”
Price and Availability
The previous version of the GT2 RS cost around $294,450, but the new model is likely to be significantly more expensive. According to data from a German dealership, the price will be around €450,000 ($504,000). The car is expected to go on sale in 2026.
Despite the high price, the GT2 RS will still appear more affordable compared to hypercars like the Mercedes-AMG One, which holds the Nürburgring record with a time of 6:35.18. However, the new Porsche could come close to these figures thanks to its more powerful powertrain and improved aerodynamics.
Compared to standard Porsche 911 models, the GT2 RS will be the true pinnacle of the brand’s engineering. Its design, technical specifications, and price confirm its status as a car for true track racing enthusiasts.
