Updated Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II: what has changed?
Four years after its debut, Rolls-Royce has unveiled an updated version of its electric coupe, the Spectre. The model, named Series II, offers not only design changes but also a significantly upgraded powertrain and a substantially increased range.
From the outside, the car remains recognizable, but features a new body color, Ethereal Blue, and 23-inch forged wheels with partial or full polishing. The Black Badge version stands out with a matte finish of external parts called Iced Black Exterior Detailing, which replaces most chrome elements, as well as new wheel rims for a more aggressive look.
Interior: new materials and technologies
The biggest changes are inside. The car gets a modern dashboard with a wide-format display. A highlight is the new Illuminated Fascia artwork, consisting of 8108 individual pixel lamps that create a wave-like pattern. A new watch inspired by aviation instruments also appears.
Rolls-Royce has significantly expanded the palette of materials for interior trim. Among the novelties is the eco-friendly Duality Twill fabric made from bamboo, reminiscent of rope weaves on sailing yachts. It is available in four colors, and over 50 shades are offered for embroidery. Creating such an interior can require up to 2.6 million stitches, 16 km of thread, and 25 hours of work.
Additionally, clients can order Placed Perforation leather, which allows creating unique patterns. For example, one option depicts clouds in moonlight using 78,138 holes of various sizes. A new Brindled Walnut veneer is also offered, with inclusions of glass powder that give the details a shimmering effect.
Power and range
The powertrain of the Spectre Series II has been upgraded. The standard version now produces 593 hp and 1015 Nm of torque, which is 16 hp and 115 Nm more than before. Acceleration to 60 mph (96 km/h) takes 4.4 seconds.
Thanks to redesigned battery technology, capacity has increased to 112.4 kWh, allowing the range to increase by 18% (up to 628 km WLTP) and reducing charging time by 14%. Using a 195 kW fast charger allows charging the battery from 10% to 80% in just 28 minutes.
The Black Badge version is even more powerful: 671 hp and 1100 Nm of torque. Acceleration to 60 mph (96 km/h) takes only 4.1 seconds.
The updated Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II shows that even in the ultra-luxury segment, electric vehicles continue to evolve. The manufacturer focused not on a radical design overhaul but on improving technical specifications and expanding personalization options. Increasing the range to nearly 630 km makes the Spectre more practical for daily use, while the power increase, especially in the Black Badge version, highlights its sporty nature. At the same time, unique materials and trim options, such as bamboo fabric or perforated leather, confirm the car’s status as a work of art on wheels, where every element can be tailored to the tastes of the most discerning client.
