New Luxurious SUV from China Challenges Rolls-Royce

Voyah Taishan: A New Contender in the Luxury SUV Market

The Chinese brand Voyah is preparing to launch its most ambitious project yet—the luxury SUV Taishan. Although design details remain hidden under camouflage, it is already known that the car will compete with the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The company even published a photo showing the Taishan prototype next to the British SUV.

“The prototype is undergoing intensive summer testing and will receive the latest autonomous driving system, ADS Ultra, from Huawei,” stated Voyah CEO Lu Fang.

Marketing Move with Louis Vuitton

To attract attention to the new model, Voyah used an unusual Louis Vuitton-style camouflage, placing the car near the brand’s exhibition center in Shanghai. This emphasizes its focus on the premium market and its desire to compete with European manufacturers.

Technical Features

Although the design remains a secret, noticeable details include smooth doors, chrome window frames, retractable door handles, and a lidar above the windshield. The car’s length is expected to exceed 5.3 meters, with a wheelbase of 3.1 meters, allowing for a six-seat cabin in a 2+2+2 configuration.

Plans include hybrid and electric versions. The hybrid may feature a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with two electric motors, delivering a combined 657 horsepower. The interior is likely to be crafted from premium materials with numerous screens, similar to its competitors.

Voyah is clearly aiming to conquer the premium segment, and the Taishan could become a serious player in this market. The model’s success will depend not only on technical specifications but also on the brand’s ability to create a true “status” product that will appeal to discerning buyers.
