Dodge Prepares New Charger Version Named Outlaw
Dodge plans to use the Outlaw name for one of the upcoming modifications of the Charger model. This version is likely to receive a powerful six-cylinder engine, all-wheel drive with the ability to disconnect the front axle, as well as other updates.
The manufacturer is actively preparing the gasoline version of the new Charger for launch, and it has now become known that the top trim will receive the name Six Pack Outlaw. This is confirmed by a patent application filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The first data about the Outlaw name for the Charger was discovered by Robert Miller. The patent specifically concerns this model, indicating its uniqueness in the brand’s lineup.
Technical Features
It is assumed that the Charger Outlaw will be equipped with a Hurricane engine producing 540 hp (403 kW) and 706 Nm of torque. This unit is already used in other Stellantis models, but it is not suitable for the compact Hornet or the large Durango, which explains the absence of similar applications for these cars.
The question remains open: will Outlaw become the new “top” name for future powerful Dodge versions, replacing Hellcat? The company has not yet disclosed all the details, but such a step seems logical, given market trends.
The updated Charger has already generated significant interest, and the addition of a new powerful version will only strengthen its position. The manufacturer traditionally bets on aggressive design and high dynamic characteristics, which could ensure the model’s success in the sports sedan market.
