New UAZ Hunter May Become a Russian Copy of China’s Great Wall

Photos of the new UAZ Hunter appeared in the Russian Special Vehicles RU IT community on Facebook. It became necessary to reach an agreement with a foreign manufacturer because UAZ finds it difficult to independently create a new generation of the vehicle from scratch.

To be recognizable as UAZ, the SUV will retain round headlights and a characteristic grille. Inside, there will be no hints of the previous Hunter.

According to the publication Za Rulem, the SUV will feature an 8-speed automatic, central, front, and rear differential locks, as well as a Great Wall 2-liter turbo engine consuming 8–9 liters per 100 km. The new Hunter may be available for sale at the end of 2022 or early 2023, priced at about 2.4 million rubles (880 thousand hryvnias).
