The firefighters were practicing quickly extracting people from wrecked cars, so within minutes the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 was left without doors and a hood, and its roof was cut off.
For reference: the 760-horsepower Shelby GT500 starts at $72,000. However, this particular car was destined to be destroyed, as it is a test prototype not approved for sale. Therefore, Ford decided it was better to donate the car for a worthy cause.
