NSX will no longer be produced, so Honda introduced a strange electric car as a replacement

Honda introduces an electric quadricycle for delivery

Honda has launched a new brand, Fastport, which will specialize in micromobility. The first new product will be the eQuad electric quadricycle, designed for last-mile delivery in cities. Its presentation will take place at the Eurobike exhibition this month.

The model is designed to operate in bicycle lanes and will have several configurations. Among them are small and large versions, as well as various options for cargo compartments. The range for the small version will be up to 23 miles, but this figure will depend on the load.

Technical features

The eQuad will have a maximum speed of 12 mph and will be equipped with:

The model’s dimensions will vary from 3.4 to 3.66 meters in length, and the load capacity will range from 145 to 295 kg. Production will begin at Honda’s plant in Ohio, and the first deliveries to Europe and North America are expected by the end of 2025.

This project demonstrates the growing interest of automakers in alternative transport solutions for cities. Given the growing demand for fast deliveries, such electric vehicles could become an effective tool for reducing congestion in megacities. The emphasis on adaptation to bicycle infrastructure is particularly interesting, as it could significantly expand the scope of application of the eQuad.
