American Farra Haines drives a lot. On average, her annual mileage is 320,000 km. It’s no surprise that her 2013 Hyundai Elantra sedan has already surpassed a million miles (1.6 million km). For a five-year-old car, this is quite an achievement and it has not gone unnoticed. Representatives of Hyundai USA filmed a video about the car and awarded its owner with a gold-plated plate with the inscription “1 Million Mile Club”.
The Hyundai Elantra has, of course, been regularly maintained and many parts have been replaced, but the original engine has been preserved. Farra Haines installed a front bumper guard. Hyundai also upgraded the digital odometer, as it only displayed six-digit numbers. By the way, 1.6 million km is far from a record, but at this rate, Farra Haines might surpass the absolute record holder Volvo P1800. Especially since she continues to actively use her Hyundai Elantra.
