A new exhibit has appeared at the BMW Classic museum – a 1955 BMW 501. The car has traveled over a million kilometers. Now the BMW sedan has been restored and has become part of the collection.
The famous BMW 501 is the brand’s first post-war model. Its elegant design earned it the nickname “Baroque Angel.” The car is equipped with a 2.6-liter 86-horsepower V8 and a 4-speed manual transmission.
Its top speed is 160 km/h. This particular BMW 501 worked for 15 years as a Munich taxi. So it’s not surprising that it has such high mileage. Then the owning company returned the car to the factory and received a new BMW 1500 in return. However, the car was only restored now.
