A massive Mercedes-Benz cemetery has been discovered in Germany near Bremen. About 9,000 vehicles have been sitting for months at the abandoned Ahlhorn airfield, reports Radio Bremen.
There are so many cars that they filled a 2.5-kilometer-long runway. Most of them are new Mercedes GLE and GLS crossovers, as well as C-Class, E-Class, and CLS sedans. No, this is not a result of the Dieselgate aftermath.
It turns out that defective cars have been gathered at the airfield. Mercedes found defects in the bumpers and seats.
Mercedes representatives have already noted that the cause of the defects is poor-quality parts. The company has already found other suppliers and will soon correct the defects in the new cars. However, the Germans did not say what they would do with the older models like the Mercedes R-Class, which are also numerous in Ahlhorn.
