A little-known car “Khvylia,” created in the 1970s at one of the auto repair enterprises in Sievierodonetsk, has been put up for sale in Ukraine. Despite its status as a “homemade” vehicle in the documents, the model was produced as part of the small-scale production of SARB. This was reported by the Telegram channel “AC Garage News”.

The car from 1972 was built on the aggregates of Soviet models. The “Khvylia” received an engine from the “Moskvich-408,” as well as unified lighting and glass elements.

According to available information, only 11 such cars were created at the enterprise at the time. Each car had its own body design and a separate name. Among other projects, the “Lan” model is mentioned.

The model stands out with its original design, featuring characteristic sharp fins and a coupe-type body. For the Soviet automotive industry of that period, such shapes were atypical.

The car’s appearance differs significantly from the production models of the USSR in the 1970s. At the same time, the technical part was based on available components of mass-produced Soviet cars.

The published specimen is in a condition that requires restoration. The report states that the seller is asking a high price for the car, although it is essentially the remains of a rare project.

The exact price of the car is not disclosed. At the same time, the “Khvylia” remains one of the few preserved examples of experimental Ukrainian cars created by small enterprises in the 1970s.
