Review of the Most Expensive Production Car of the Modern Era: Bugatti Tourbillon

The Bugatti Tourbillon is the most expensive production car of the modern era! And it’s not just a new hypercar, but a true masterpiece of technical and design perfection that sets new standards in the automotive industry. It impresses not only with its performance but also with a level of luxury and personalization that surpasses anything that existed before.

The model is equipped with an 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 engine, developed in collaboration with Cosworth, combined with three electric motors—two on the front axle and one on the rear. The total power output is 1800 horsepower, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 2 seconds. Further figures are still impressive: 0–200 km/h in less than 5 seconds, 0–300 km/h in less than 10 seconds, and 0–400 km/h in less than 25 seconds. The top speed is 445 km/h (277 mph). On electric power, the Tourbillon can cover up to 60 km (37 miles) thanks to a 25 kWh battery. The hypercar’s weight is approximately 1995 kg (4398 lbs).

The Tourbillon’s design retains the recognizable Bugatti horseshoe grille but receives updated aerodynamic elements—an active rear wing, an aggressive diffuser, and improved aerodynamics. The interior is inspired by the art of watchmaking: the analog instrument panel is crafted by Swiss masters from over 600 parts. The central console made of crystal and aluminum features a hidden touchscreen that automatically disappears when not in use.

The price of the Bugatti Tourbillon starts from 3.8 million euros (approximately 4.1 million US dollars). Bugatti Tourbillon options and their cost are no less impressive: two-tone wheels cost about $20,000, a logo on the rear wing is another $15,000, carbon interior trim is $15,000, and a panel with added rose gold is about $65,000. In total, additional equipment can add up to almost a million dollars—which is how much the once most expensive car, the Bugatti Veyron, used to cost.

Regarding operation, it’s worth knowing: the annual maintenance of the Tourbillon will cost approximately $25,000, and replacing a set of tires—from $30,000 to $42,000. Over 10 years of ownership, maintenance costs (including fuel tank replacement, brake disc replacement, transmission service) can exceed $200,000. That’s all from us.) Although, wait… it’s interesting, will the Bugatti Tourbillon ever be in Ukraine? After all, judging by the fact that a buyer for an Aston Martin Valiant was found in Ukraine for $2.7 million, why not get a brand new Bugatti?
