New 24-inch Cybrdisc wheels for Tesla Cybertruck
Although the Tesla Cybertruck has not achieved the sales volumes originally forecast by Elon Musk, it has still found its niche and created a large community of enthusiasts. Many owners have already begun modifying their pickup trucks. For those who want to truly stand out, Unplugged Performance has the answer.
Cybrdisc wheel specifications and design
The California-based firm, which has established itself as America’s leading Tesla tuner, already offers dozens of accessories and upgrades for the Cybertruck. It has now introduced a new package of forged 24-inch wheels for the electric pickup, which look far more premium than the original Cybertruck wheels with cheap plastic aerodynamic covers.
These wheels, known as Cybrdisc, are each 9.5 inches wide and made from forged 6061-T6 aluminum. The retro-futuristic solid disc design is inspired by wedge-shaped cars of the 1970s and disco-era vinyl records, with concentric circles transitioning into a polished surface.
Each wheel has an impressive load capacity of 3,196 pounds (1,450 kg), which should be more than sufficient for the typical needs of a Cybertruck owner. Additionally, the solid disc shape of the wheels helps smooth airflow along the sides of the Tesla compared to traditional multi-spoke wheels.
Finish options and prices
UP’s Cybrdisc wheels are offered in gloss black with a matte silver logo and polished edges, satin black, and a fully polished finish. They can be fitted to tires sized 295/45 or 315/45 for owners who want to maximize their EV’s presence on the road and off-road.
There is no information on the weight of each wheel, but they certainly cannot be light. They are also not cheap. In fact, a set of four 24-inch wheels starts at $7,195 for the Gloss Black and Satin Black options, or $7,995 for the fully polished finish. For those with a somewhat tighter budget, UP allows buyers to trade in their original wheels for a $1,000 discount.
A price of over seven thousand dollars for a set of wheels may seem high, but for Cybertruck owners who have already invested in an expensive vehicle, this could be a logical step for personalization. Considering that Unplugged Performance also offers other expensive upgrade packages, for example for $18,000, these wheels look like a relatively affordable way to dramatically change the pickup’s appearance. Additionally, the stated load capacity and aerodynamic benefits make them not just a decorative element, but also a functional upgrade that could justify the cost for enthusiasts looking to combine style with practicality.
