Updated Genesis GV70 2027: What Changed?
Genesis has introduced an updated version of the GV70 crossover in South Korea. The manufacturer calls it a “facelift,” although the changes turned out to be quite minor.
Exterior updates and wheel designs
Let’s start with the exterior. The luxury crossover now gets 19-inch wheels instead of the base 18-inch ones. Although this is already a familiar design, it gives the model a “more impressive presence.” Customers will also be able to choose a new set of optional 19-inch wheels, as well as an updated color palette that includes the Tromso Green shade.
Interior and comfort
The changes inside the cabin are also small, but Genesis has worked on reducing noise, vibration, and harshness by adding thicker wheel arch liners. Additionally, the company has installed a “panel-type front seatback cover, which is in high demand among customers.”
In addition to these minor updates, the manufacturer decided to offer a new Prestige package. It combines a Bang & Olufsen audio system, Convenience and Popular II packages, as well as a panoramic sunroof.

The main news was the addition of the Graphite package, which gives the model a sportier look. As part of this update, the GV70 received gloss black mirrors and red brake calipers. These are joined by 21-inch wheels, an electronic limited-slip differential, and an electronically controlled suspension. This version will be available exclusively in four colors: Bering Blue, Ceres Blue Matte, Makalu Grey, and Uyuni White.
The updates also extend to the interior: the Graphite package includes a two-tone Obsidian Black and Ultramarine Blue interior with Nappa leather seats. Buyers will also find carbon fiber inserts, special animations on the display, and headrests with the Genesis logo. Furthermore, the package adds red seat belts, piping and contrast stitching, as well as microfiber inserts in the center of the seats.

It is not yet known which specific changes will carry over to the American version of the model, but Genesis has confirmed that the “new” crossover will arrive in the US this summer. Earlier, the manufacturer already presented the 2027 GV70 Prestige Graphite at the New York Auto Show, and it sounds almost identical to the Graphite package.
Overall, the updates to the 2027 Genesis GV70 are evolutionary, not revolutionary. The manufacturer focused on improving comfort, adding new wheel designs and colors, as well as creating a sportier Graphite package. This is a typical approach for the middle of a model’s lifecycle, where minor changes are made to maintain buyer interest ahead of the launch of a completely new generation. It is particularly interesting that the Graphite package, which was previously introduced as a special edition, has now become part of the standard lineup of updates, indicating the popularity of this style among the brand’s customers.
