Opel Introduces High-Speed Electric Version of Mokka GSE
The European market is gradually filling up with compact electric cars with enhanced dynamics. The new version of the Opel Mokka has joined them, which will become the first model of the revived GSE sub-brand. The manufacturer has focused on a more aggressive design and improved handling.
The exterior features black inserts on the bumpers that emphasize the air intakes, as well as special GSE badges on the radiator grille and sides. The most noticeable elements are the large 20-inch alloy wheels with yellow brake calipers.
Interior and Technical Features
The interior has also been updated: the seats are upholstered in Alcantara, aluminum pedals and a new sports steering wheel have appeared. The instrument panel with two 10-inch screens now displays additional dynamic indicators.
The engine power is 278 hp (207 kW), allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The top speed is limited to 200 km/h.
The Mokka GSE’s suspension is lowered by 10 mm and equipped with hydraulic shock absorbers for better handling. The braking system uses 380 mm discs with four-piston calipers from Alcon.
The battery remains the same as in the regular Mokka Electric — 54 kWh, but due to the increased power, the range will slightly decrease. The model is expected to maintain a weight of less than 1600 kg, which is a good indicator for an electric crossover.
Official data on price and market launch date have not yet been disclosed. In the UK, the car will be sold under the Vauxhall brand.
This model demonstrates how manufacturers combine environmental friendliness with driving pleasure, offering an alternative to traditional sports cars. The Opel Mokka GSE could be an interesting option for those who want dynamics without harming the environment.
