by The HotCars magazine has published a list of the ten cheapest used sports cars that deliver maximum thrills for a minimum budget. The selection predominantly features American models, which are not always well-known in Ukraine, but given the high demand for used cars from the USA, this ranking might be particularly interesting for those looking for something ‘with a kick’.
The first place was taken by the 2008 Dodge Caliber SRT-4. Don’t let the looks fool you – this hatchback has a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine producing 285 hp paired with a six-speed manual transmission. An aggressive character in an unexpected body.
In second position is the 2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4. Also a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine, but with 230 hp. This sedan is well-known among drag racing and tuning fans, even though it’s almost unknown in Ukraine.
Third place went to the 2010 Mazda Mazdaspeed 3 – a front-wheel-drive hatchback with a 2.3-liter turbocharged engine producing 263 hp. This is an option for those who value handling and power in a compact format.

- 2003 Ford Focus SVT – an early ‘hot’ version of the popular Ford, with sharp steering and a true driver’s character
- 2014 Ford Focus ST – a hot hatchback already well-known to the Ukrainian market
- 2014 Ford Fiesta ST – a smaller but extremely spirited sibling of the Focus ST
- 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI – a genre classic, an all-around hot hatch that needs no introduction
- 2016 Lincoln MKS Ecoboost – an infrequent guest in Ukraine, but attractive for those seeking an all-wheel-drive premium sedan with a 365 hp V6 biturbo
- 2018 Honda Civic Si – in the US, this Civic version is known as a budget alternative to the Type R, but it is rarely found in Ukraine
- 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI – a true icon, still valued for its off-road capability, all-wheel drive, and legendary chassis
Many of these cars are typical representatives of the American market and are not often found in Europe (let alone Ukraine). However, given the active import of cars from the USA, this list will be useful for those looking for an inexpensive but truly exciting option for themselves.
