The overwritten title in Ukrainian: Twin-turbo Ferrari by Koenig Specials looks like a felt-tip pen burst

Tuned Ferrari 360 Modena by Koenig Special: A purple monster with two turbochargers

This is not a Challenge Stradale, and it never aspired to be one. Before us is a Ferrari 360 Modena that in 2003 ended up at the Koenig Special workshop and emerged with two turbochargers, a carbon fiber roof scoop, and a body that you can spot from two blocks away. This car is now listed for sale in Italy, a reminder of a time when tuners built first and asked questions later.

Creation history and technical changes

The Ferrari 360 Modena was originally delivered to Germany and sent to Koenig Special in 2003. The renowned tuning workshop thrived throughout the 1980s and 1990s, creating truly insane projects, including this one. The 3.6-liter V8 engine is now equipped with two turbochargers, features upgraded pistons, and dual intercoolers. The car’s mileage is approximately 48,000 km (30,000 miles).

This is a genuine Ferrari that has been stretched for attention, yet it still doesn’t get enough of it.

As part of the transformation, the car received a large carbon fiber roof scoop, a special body kit with an updated front bumper, splitter, and enlarged air intakes. At the rear, a fixed spoiler, a modified bumper, and a diffuser that looks like it could swallow a medium-sized dog were installed.

Purple on purple

Even more drastic changes occurred recently. In 2024, Scuderia Baldini & Co repainted the car in Viola Hong Kong, a modern Ferrari shade also offered for the SF90 Stradale and 488 Pista models. The car now sits on gold 19-inch BBS wheels, features upgraded Brembo brakes with carbon-ceramic discs, and has recently undergone maintenance including replacement of the timing chain.

As hard as it might be to believe, the interior turned out even crazier than the exterior. In 2024, it was fully reupholstered in bright purple Alcantara, covering the seats, door cards, dashboard, steering wheel, pillars, and headliner. Gold accents are used in combination with the purple upholstery, particularly on the transmission tunnel and the gauge cluster.

Bring a Trailer will soon auction off the car, so anyone interested in getting behind the wheel should hurry.

This car is a vivid example of early 2000s tuning, when bold decisions and maximum performance were the top priority. The combination of an aggressive body kit, a powerful twin-turbo engine, and an extravagant purple interior makes it not just another Ferrari, but a true artifact of an era when tuners weren’t afraid to experiment. It is worth noting that the recent technical updates and repainting in a modern color only increase its appeal for collectors seeking unique and well-maintained examples with history.
