Features of Using Electric Cars

An electric car operates on an electric motor, which periodically needs recharging. In addition to preserving the environment, it allows the owner to save on fuel purchases. In Ukraine, “green” cars are still exotic. This is not only due to the limited availability of charging stations, but also to the peculiarities of operating this type of transport.

Issues often arise in cold weather, as batteries lose up to 40% charge at subzero temperatures. To stay “on the go” constantly, it is advisable to follow these rules:

  • Rationally use climate control, as it consumes half the charge;

  • Leave the car indoors overnight, and during the day, park where the sun shines bright;

  • Switch to eco-driving mode (the car’s speed will decrease, but energy efficiency will increase);

  • Do not forget about energy recuperation, especially on long descents;

  • Keep the interior warm while charging the battery (some models require up to 15 hours).

To increase the range, it is recommended to change your driving style. It is better to drive at a constant speed, accelerate smoothly, and not fully depress the gas pedal.

Variety of Electric Cars

Around 60% of all electric car sales in 2022 were made up of products from Chinese brands. Cars from South Korea and Japan are also actively imported because they are advantageous to buy due to the optimal combination of quality and price. The list is supplemented by reliable and eco-friendly models from American and European automakers.
