Ringbrothers’ Latest Project: Aston Martin in the Style of a Mustang GTD

Ringbrothers Unveil a Restomodded Aston Martin DBS

Power and Individuality

The project, named “Octavia,” started with an ordinary 1971 Aston Martin DBS. After 12,000 hours of work, the car received a carbon fiber body, and under the hood now resides a supercharged Coyote V8 engine with a power output of 805 hp. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual Tremec transmission.

The original valve covers were replaced with custom ones that recall the design of classic Aston Martins. They are inscribed with “Aston Martini” — a playful nod to James Bond’s favorite drink.

Updated Design and Technology

Compared to the original, the Octavia has a wheelbase extended by 3 inches and a wider track. The car is equipped with exclusive wheels from Ragle Design and HRE, as well as powerful Brembo brakes. The suspension was completely redesigned using components from Roadster Shop and Fox.

“Octavia is a combination of modern technology and fantasy. We asked ourselves: ‘What would an MI6 agent drive on vacation?’ And we got this result,” said Jim Ring, co-owner of Ringbrothers.

The car’s interior combines aluminum, carbon fiber, brass, and leather, creating a unique symbiosis of classic and contemporary. Despite the updates, the designers managed to preserve the spirit of the original Aston Martin.

Ringbrothers continue to amaze with their unconventional approaches to restomodding. Their Octavia is not just an updated classic, but a true automotive art that combines American power with British sophistication. Such projects remind us that even the oldest cars can find new life in the hands of talented masters.
