Honda’s Latest Concept Looks Familiar, But at the Same Time Impresses with Its Novelty

Honda to Present a New Electric Concept at the Goodwood Festival

At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which will take place next month, Honda plans to show a new electric concept called the Super EV. It is a five-door compact hatchback that will likely become the basis for a future production model. The car features rounded headlights, vertical air curtains, and an integrated charging port.

The company remains sparing on details but notes that the concept is designed to demonstrate how a small electric car can combine driving pleasure and practicality.

“A small, sporty model has already undergone testing in the UK as part of a global program,”

— states Honda’s announcement, confirming the possibility of series production.

More Interesting Exhibits from Honda

In addition to the Super EV, the Honda stand will feature the European debut of the 0 Series SUV prototype, as well as concepts for an electric motorcycle and scooter. The company will also show the updated Prelude, which will participate in the hill climb. Among other exhibits are the Williams FW11 race car with a Honda engine, the Civic Type R Ultimate Edition, and the Miimo robotic lawnmower.

The Goodwood Festival has traditionally been a platform for presenting innovative developments in the world of motorsport and production cars. Honda’s participation with a whole range of electric concepts underscores the growing role of electromobility in the company’s strategy. Particular interest is drawn to the Super EV, which could become the successor to the Honda e model, which was produced in a limited series.
