The Latest Version of Suzuki Jimny for Europe Became the Best in the Lineup

Limited Edition Suzuki Jimny for France

The Suzuki Jimny, a small off-road vehicle that gained popularity, is gradually disappearing from European roads due to strict environmental regulations and the absence of electric versions. Most of the time on the continent, it was sold as a light commercial vehicle with two seats to bypass restrictions.

Before the model is completely phased out, Suzuki has introduced a special version for France. This is an anniversary edition dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the original Jimny.

Details of the Special Version

The limited edition Jimny 55th Anniversary is created for collectors. Among the differences are retro decals on the sides, red protective fenders, black steel wheels, and four color options: white, green, black with a blue tint, and gray.

The interior features rubber floor mats, a commemorative plaque on the center console, as well as an exclusive key fob and a leather-bound travel diary. The car is based on the Privilège trim, which includes air conditioning, heated seats, Bluetooth, and safety systems, but without a large multimedia screen.

Technical Features

Under the hood is a 1.5-liter engine producing 101 hp, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and the AllGrip Pro all-wheel-drive system. Despite the modest power, the lightweight construction (1,090 kg) and compact dimensions make the Jimny ideal for off-roading.

This version is already available for order in France starting at €28,955, with the first deliveries beginning this month. Similar special versions have been previously released in Japan, Australia, and other countries.

The future of the Jimny remains uncertain. It was expected that the model would receive a hybrid or electric version for Europe, but Suzuki recently stated that there are currently no plans for an electric modification. Instead, the company is considering alternative fuels for the model’s further development.
