The first Zonda appeared in 1999, and 26 years later, production continues to release unique models. This is happening despite the fact that the Zonda has been replaced twice – first by the Huayra, and then by the Utopia.
It is important to note that Pagani no longer manufactures completely new Zondas from scratch. The last model of this series was introduced last year. However, the company continues to modernize early versions through its Unico division, and this stunning example is the freshest instance.
This is a Zonda Roadster, created under the influence of the Kunlun Mountains at the owner’s request. The car received numerous updates characteristic of other modified models. The body is entirely made of carbon fiber with a striking blue texture and also features a hood with large air intakes and white stripes, like all Zonda 760 series cars.
Furthermore, the model received black wheels with blue center elements and numerous aerodynamic elements at the rear. Among them are a massive spoiler, a carbon fin, an additional small wing, and a prominent diffuser. The exhaust pipes and their surrounds are also finished in blue.
Pagani does not disclose the technical details of this unique model, but it is most likely equipped with a naturally aspirated 7.3-liter AMG V12 producing 760 hp, like other Zonda 760s. There is no information about the interior yet, so it is unknown whether a manual or robotic transmission is used. In any case, the sound of this engine is unparalleled among production cars.
The exact cost of the modernization is not disclosed, but judging by recent sales of other unique models, it could have reached over 10 million dollars.
