Dangerous Imitation: Tesla Passenger Hits Head on Glass
Two men in a Tesla Model X Plaid decided to replicate a viral trick with a Porsche 911 Turbo S, where the passenger feels a strong push into the seat during acceleration. However, in the case of the electric car, everything went wrong—the passenger hit his head on the windshield, shattering it. The incident occurred due to regenerative braking, which abruptly stopped the car after acceleration.
In the original Porsche video, a child who was not buckled up could lift their legs due to the force of acceleration. Although many were outraged by the father’s irresponsibility, the video garnered over 12 million views. Unfortunately, the imitators did not account for the specifics of the Tesla, which led to injury and expensive repairs—the Model X windshield is significantly longer than a standard one and is not cheap.
The passenger hit his head so hard that the glass cracked; he likely suffered a concussion.
This case is a reminder that seat belts are not just a formality but a vitally important element. Furthermore, experiments with the physics of acceleration in electric cars can have unforeseen consequences due to their technical features. It’s worth thinking twice before replicating something from social media—sometimes it ends not with funny videos, but with serious problems.
