In a remote village of the Poltava region, in a garage cooperative, a true rare specimen was unexpectedly discovered — the legendary Chevrolet Corvette C4. This sports car from the 80s, which is uniquely represented in Ukraine, was in a state of neglect, but without rust — thanks to its fiberglass body.
The body shows traces of peeling paint, and the interior is also not in the best condition: the trim is damaged or missing, and the engine is likely removed. However, certain elements remained: a four-speed automatic transmission, a digital instrument panel, climate control, an electric package — and the roof here is removable and can even fit in the trunk.
This version is a pre-facelift Chevrolet Corvette C4, produced from 1986 to 1991. Under the hood is the legendary 5.7-liter V8 engine, producing from 230 to 250 horsepower. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes from 5.5 to 6.5 seconds, and the top speed reached 248 km/h.
The sports car, judging by the license plates, did not go through customs clearance — and, it seems, remained in the garage for years, waiting for a restorer who would return it to its former glory.
