The first Soviet limousines and British Rolls Royce – May 28 kicks off the OldCarLand technical festival en

Hundreds of vintage and rare cars from all over Ukraine will be showcased at the OldCarLand festival! The event will take place on May 28-30 in Kyiv at the O.K. Antonov State Aviation Museum located at Medova St., 1.

All retro cars will be presented in the open air among dozens of airplanes and helicopters. In addition to passenger cars, there will be trucks, buses, motorcycles, motor scooters, mopeds, and bicycles on display. The program includes driver skill contests on vintage cars, fashion shows from the beginning and middle of the 20th century, rallies on classic vehicles, and crew competitions in recreating different eras. The event is organized by the Old Car Service technical classics club.

The ‘highlight’ of this year’s festival will be the exhibition of unique handmade representative cars. Soviet limousines, which were used by the top officials of the USSR from the 1940s to the 1990s, will be presented at OldCarLand. Each of these cars has a history associated with influential and famous people and is executed in an exclusive variant. Among them is a ZIS-110 from 1946. This car was the first in the Soviet automotive industry to feature hydraulic windows, an odometer, and other modern technical devices of that time. One of the impressive limousines at the level of Rolls Royce is the ZIL-115 from 1978, which was used by the head of the Communist Party of Ukraine, Volodymyr Shcherbytsky. Only 106 of this model were produced in 15 years. A rare representative class bus, the ZIL-3207 ‘Yonost,’ known for its high comfort level, will also be at the festival.

As always, at OldCarLand, you will be the first to see the latest restoration works of Ukraine’s restoration workshops. This time, a restored Rolls Royce Corniche convertible will attend our event. The model has become a hallmark of the brand over many years of production, showcasing the luxury and functionality of Rolls Royce. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to see a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow from 1969 and the earliest Zaporozhets ZAZ-965 with chassis number 185.

Various car clubs and museums will showcase vehicles at the festival that roamed our roads over 70 years ago. Many of them remain as single specimens. One such car is a Peugeot 203 from 1949 in its original condition. It is the manufacturer’s first post-war model. It features an interesting brand emblem on the hood that differs from later versions. There will also be Italian, German, and American cars from this period.

We expect many iconic models of two-wheeled vehicles. You will be able to see the first motorized bicycle in the USSR, produced at the Kharkiv bicycle plant in the 1950s, the first motorized bicycle of the Lviv motor plant, as well as a range of Karpaty mopeds, including the last version in history, ‘Karpaty-4.’

Traditionally for OldCarLand, the festival will have a unique atmosphere for family rest, bright photos, and an incredible mood.

Tickets can be purchased at the karabas.com service or at the box offices of the O.K. Antonov State Aviation Museum at Medova St., 1, on the festival days. The ticket price is 150 UAH.
