Koenigsegg presented their first four-seater model, the Gemera. The grand tourer coupe impresses with its design and specifications. A total of 300 Koenigsegg Gemeras will be produced at a price of 1.7 million euros.
Let’s start with the fact that it will be the fastest four-seater car in the world. The Koenigsegg Gemera accelerates to 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds and to a maximum of 400 km/h in 20 seconds.
This result is achieved thanks to a complex hybrid system. On the front axle is a 2.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine with two turbochargers producing 608 hp and 600 Nm, as well as a 406 hp electric motor.
The rear wheels are powered by two 507 hp electric motors.
The total output is 1724 hp and 3500 Nm. The four-seater hypercar can travel 50 km in electric mode and about 1000 km in hybrid mode.
The Koenigsegg Gemera has an unconventional 1-speed transmission, where instead of a traditional gearbox, there is a hydraulic clutch that changes the degree of slip. The coupe’s arsenal includes all-wheel drive and fully-steered chassis.
The body is entirely made of carbon, and like all Koenigseggs, it features guillotine doors. Inside, there are four sport seats and separate touch screens in the front and rear. The virtual dashboard has a built-in gyroscope and is mounted on the steering column.
It rotates with the steering wheel, but the image remains horizontal.
