In the Czech Republic, during tests on the track, the Skoda Octavia 2020 was spotted. The presentation of the model is scheduled for October this year and will coincide with the 60th anniversary of the first Octavia. The photos were published by the publication Auto.cz.
The new Skoda Octavia in the station wagon body was driving almost without camouflage, making it easy to see the design in the spirit of the Skoda Scala hatchback. This means that the controversial design of the front part with four headlights has been abandoned.
It is known that the Skoda Octavia 2020 will grow to 4.7 meters in length, but will continue to use the MQB platform. It is also reported that the trunk volume of the station wagon will increase from 610 to 630 liters.
Among other features of the model are LED headlights and a virtual instrument panel. Most likely, the Skoda Octavia 2020 will receive 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engines, as well as 1.6 and 2.0-liter turbodiesels. They will be complemented by a 48-volt “mild” hybrid system.
