The first details of the future electric vehicle Skoda have been announced. The new model will be called Enyaq and it will be an electric crossover. The model’s premiere will take place at the end of this year, and production will start at the beginning of 2021. 
The model name comes from the Irish name Enya (translated as “source of life”). As for the electric car itself, it is the production version of the Skoda Vision iV concept.
The Skoda electric vehicle will be a coupe-crossover with a length of 4.6 m and a width of 1.9 m. It will be built on the MEB platform, specially created for electric cars. This platform is used by the new Volkswagen ID.3. 
The characteristics of Skoda Enyaq are not disclosed, but it is known that Vision iV was equipped with two electric motors with a total power of 306 hp and an 83 kWh battery. It had a top speed of 180 km/h, and its range was about 500 km.
However, it is quite possible that the base Enyaq will have one motor and a less capacious battery.
