by In Britain, the new Lotus Evija was unveiled. The first Lotus electric car will go on sale from 2020 at a price of 2 million euros. Only 130 cars will be produced. 
The Lotus Evija hypercar is 4.4 m long and weighs 1680 kg, with a carbon monocoque as its base. The car features advanced aerodynamics with a two-level splitter, retractable rear wing, and DRS technology, like in Formula 1.
In addition, channels are made in the sides for airflow. The Lotus Evija also features laser headlights. 
The coupe’s doors rise upwards with electric assistance. The interior features leather, carbon, and Alcantara. The buttons in the cabin are touch-sensitive, and cameras replace the rear-view mirrors.
Four electric motors collectively produce 2000 hp, making the Evija the most powerful production car in the world. It accelerates to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds and to 300 km/h in less than 9 seconds. The top speed exceeds 320 km/h. The car’s arsenal includes all-wheel drive, adaptive shock absorbers, and ceramic brakes. 
The Lotus electric car is equipped with a 70 kWh battery and has a range of 400 km.
Charging from a fast 350-kilowatt station takes only 18 minutes.
