While Ford is deciding whether to make a new Mustang a hybrid, the British studio Charge Cars has created an electric Mustang. Moreover, it is being prepared for production.
They did not base it on a modern model, but on a classic 1967 Ford Mustang. Moreover, they tried to make it as similar as possible to the famous Eleanor from the movie “Gone in 60 Seconds”.
Inside, there’s an eye-catching virtual dashboard and a large touchscreen in Tesla style.
At the same time, the 60’s style interior is preserved. The Ford Mustang electric car is equipped with a motor producing 407 hp and a maximum torque of 1200 N∙m. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds.

The 64 kWh battery provides a range of 200 km. Versions with rear and all-wheel drive are promised.
A total of 499 such electric cars are planned to be produced. The electric motor Ford Mustang can be purchased starting from September 2019. However, the price is biting – starting at $260,000, which is on par with the Ferrari 488 and Lamborghini Huracan.
