One of the interesting premieres of the Frankfurt Motor Show was the new Honda e. Honda’s first electric car is already available for order at a price starting from 29,500 euros.
The compact B-class hatchback is designed in the spirit of the very first Honda Civic of 1972. It has a similar profile and large round headlights. At the same time, it features LED optics, retractable door handles, and cameras instead of rearview mirrors.
The interior of the Honda e surprises even more. The dashboard features five displays. These include a virtual instrument cluster, separate multimedia touchscreens for the driver and passenger, and two screens for the camera-mirrors. Additionally, the camera image is displayed in the rearview mirror. Overall, it looks futuristic.
Two versions will be offered – with 136 and 154 hp. The more powerful variant accelerates to one hundred in 8 seconds. However, the battery is modest (35.5 kWh), so the range is small – 220 km. Although, you can charge the Honda electric car to 80% in 30 minutes.
