The Turkish company Elektron Innovativ GmbH has presented the project of its first car. The electric supercar Elektron One will become a competitor to the upcoming Tesla Roadster and the Croatian Rimac C_Two.
The startup was organized by the well-known Turkish businessman and Formula E team owner Armağan Arabul. Interestingly, most of the car’s components are Turkish-made, but it will be manufactured in Italy, not far from the Ferrari and Lamborghini factories.
The wedge-shaped coupe will be equipped with four motors with a total power of 1360 hp.
It will be able to accelerate to a hundred in 2.1 seconds – just like Formula 1 cars. The maximum speed will exceed 400 km/h.
At the same time, the price of the Elektron One will not be prohibitively high – 330-350 thousand euros. Initially, the plan is to assemble 140 cars per year, and then production volumes will be increased to 500 units per year. The car will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2021.
