The return of a legendary name
After a 15-year hiatus, the Tricolore name returns to the Lamborghini lineup. The Italian manufacturer quietly presented the new Temerario Tricolore during Monterey Car Week. It is the first model with this designation since the Gallardo LP 550-2 Tricolore of 2011.
Design inspired by the Italian flag
This unique car was created jointly by the Lamborghini Centro Stile studio and the Ad Personam personalization program. The lower body is finished in glossy blue Blu Marinus Shiny, while the upper part is in white Bianco Monocerus. The roof, mirrors and wheel rims are covered with glossy black paint Glossy Nero Noctis. Red brake calipers add a bright accent.
The most noticeable detail is a stripe on the hood in the colors of the Italian flag: green, white and red. It is thanks to this that the model got the name Tricolore. The stripe repeats a design element of the original car, but now it is offset and runs along the entire length of the body.
By the way, at the same event Lamborghini showed another unique Temerario with a rich blue finish, which also attracted a lot of attention.
Interior with a national accent
Lamborghini has released only a few photos of the interior, but they show that the Temerario Tricolore cabin is upholstered in black Nero Ade leather with contrasting red Rosso Alala stitching. The door panels feature a silhouette of the car and special Tricolore badges.
Technical specifications
Under the hood is a familiar hybrid powertrain consisting of a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, three electric motors, an eight-speed dual-clutch robotic transmission, and a 3.8 kWh battery. The total system output reaches 920 hp (677 kW), with a maximum torque of 730 Nm. Thanks to this, the coupe accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, and the top speed is 343 km/h.
Comparison with its predecessor
To understand the scale, recall that the rear-wheel-drive Gallardo LP 550-2 Tricolore had a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine producing 550 hp (405 kW) and 540 Nm of torque. Technology has made a huge leap forward in 15 years.
A new page in the history of Tricolore
This unique car combines Lamborghini’s rich heritage with modern hybrid technology. The use of Italy’s national colors not only pays tribute to the previous model, but also underscores the brand’s commitment to maintaining its own style even in the era of electrification. For brand enthusiasts, the appearance of such a Temerario will be further proof that exclusivity and tradition remain key values of Lamborghini, regardless of which engine sits under the hood. It also hints that other special versions may appear in the future, continuing the Tricolore line, but with new technologies and design.
