A unique and very rare Mercedes-Benz SL73 AMG was captured on a tow truck. This is truly a unique sports car, the engine of which was chosen as the “heart” of the Pagani hypercar! According to various sources, 85 of these cars were produced (in the mid-90s).

But, as TopGyr already wrote, according to other data, the edition amounted to 73 copies. But the most interesting thing, which is not confirmed by official data, is there are also rumors that out of 85 cars, 55 copies were bought by the Sultan of Brunei.

At European auctions and the British Sotheby’s, the SL73 AMG costs almost a quarter of a million euros. Most interestingly, just the other day, a Mercedes SL73 AMG was seen in Kharkiv, and it is not a fact that this is the same car photographed by a TopGyr subscriber near Kyiv.
If we do not take into account small-series models like Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR, the Mercedes SL73 in the R129 body can be considered the fastest and most expensive Mercedes of the 90s (among sports models).
