Police in the Brazilian city of Santa Catarina conducted a raid on a workshop producing copies of supercars. Its owners were accused of violating the car manufacturers’ copyrights, and all the cars were seized. 
The investigation began two months ago after a complaint from an official dealer of Ferrari and Lamborghini. Importers complained that cases of copying Italian elite cars had become more frequent. 
The fake Ferrari and Lamborghini supercars were equipped with a V6 Chevrolet engine with a power output of just over 300 hp.
They were sold at a price of 180-250 thousand Brazilian reals ($48-66 thousand). 
During the search of the warehouse, eight unfinished Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo, and Huracan supercars were found. Numerous fake spare parts were also discovered. Police arrested two company employees, and they face jail time for fraud.
